Shafin Basheer
I am a recent graduate in MA Filmmaking from Bangor University and it was there that I discovered my passion for directing and began to hone my craft. I have won the RTS Cymru Student Award in 2022 for my documentary film and began my career as a documentary filmmaker.
While I was seeking experience in the media industry, I got the training opportunity from Slam Media to work on a project about Ellis Grover who is a daredevil performer and High-Wire Walker based in Carmarthen, Wales.
Thanks to Ymddiried’s Media Grant’s Cymru to fund £250 for my travel expenses for this project. As this was an unpaid personal development project, the grant helped me focus and prepare on this project with the right support.
